The Galveston Naval Museum stands as a proud tribute to the legacy of American naval warfare and innovation. Home to the iconic WWII vessels USS Cavalla (SS-244) and USS Stewart (DE-238), aptly nicknamed Predator and Protector, the museum offers a rare glimpse into the courage and ingenuity that shaped history.
In addition to these meticulously restored ships, the museum features the sail of the USS Tautog (SSN-639) and the conning tower of the USS Carp (SS-338), showcasing milestones in submarine technology and the heroism of those who served beneath the waves.
